All SSFSA Members are Third Party Certified

   All inspections and testing for the Supreme Steel Framing System Association are provided by Architectural Testing, Inc. SSFSA sponsors this third party certification program, requiring that products are continually audited to ensure consistent quality and compliance to ASTM C645 and 2006 IBC Codes.

   Products are tested twice a year at each Manufacturer on unannounced visits. During these visits, steel is chemically stripped and tested for coating weight and bare metal thickness, and the dimensional properties of the stud are measured. All requirements must be satisfied in order to earn or retain SSFSA and Third Party certification.

   All members of the SSFSA must satisfy the ASTM C645 requirements at each audit. Our Member Directory offers a list of certified Supreme Steel Framing System dealers in your area.

   All certified Supreme Steel will have a label showing that it is third party certified. Labels may be located on bundles or on each framing member. The third party certification label guarantees the contractor that materials are high quality and code compliant.
